MUMBAI: It is often said that social media reveals the true picture of celebrities, letting their fans know who they really are. And while many celebrities choose to put on a show on these platforms as well, actress Sonam Khan is surely not one of them. In a bold attempt to let her fans know about things that she hates about herself, Sonam, who is known for her films likeTridev, Mitti Aur Sona, Ajooba and Aakhri Baazi, put out a video on Instagram, where she talks about her flaws.
“Aaj ka topic hai mera nature, acha wala nature nai, ganda wala nature,” she says, as she gets ready for a sit down chat with her fans. “Main logon ki baton mein forun aa jati hoon. Koi sach bole toh sach hai, jhoot boley toh who bhi sach hai, bhugati main hoon, lekin badalti main nai. (I get influenced by people very easily. If someone says something is the truth, I go with that… If someone is lying, I go with that too because I think everything is the truth, I bear the brunt of it as well, but I don’t change),” she says.
She adds, “Number do, main decisions bahut jaldi leti hoon. Jab maine than li toh main apni bhi nai sunti – yeh dialogues, yeh philosophy, yeh funda pictures mein super hit hai, real life mein super flop hai and not recommended. (Number 2, I take decisions very quickly. Once I take a decision, I don’t even listen to myself – this philosophy and funda is a super hit in films and super flop in reality).”
Lastly, she helps us delve into her emotional self. “Main roti bahut jaldi hoon. Agar mujhe koi baat chub jaye, mere dil ko takleef de, toh main forun bathroom bhakti hoon, tap on karti hoon aur rona shuru kar deti hoon. Mujhe logon ke saamne rona bilkul pasand nai (I cry very easily. If something bothers me, I am hurt by something, I quickly run into the bathroom, put the tap on and start to cry. I don’t like to cry in front of others at all).
She adds, “Main hoon ziddi number one. Main wohi karti hoon jo mujhe theek lagta hai, main kisi ki baat nai sunti. (I am very stubborn. I only do what I think I think is right. I don’t listen to anyone.).”
Next, she urges her fans to share how they are with her as well, as comments. “Maine toh apne saari burayan kar dali. Ab aap apne baare mein ek point batayiye jo aapko aapke bare mein pasand nai (I have told you my flaws. Now you tell me what you don’t like about yourself),” she says.
