Sony TV’s Kyun Uthe Dil Chhod Aaye’s actor Zaan Khan dreams of owning a vintage car one day, just like his Grandfather

MUMBAI: While we all know the zeal and passion most guys have for cars, but their fascination with vintage cars surpasses it all. And why not? Vintage cars have written history themselves. They are historical treasures and have a classic story to tell.

Heartthrob of Indian Television Zaan Khan is no different! The actor who plays the role of Randhir in Sony TV’s upcoming show Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye has a beautiful anecdote associated with vintage cars. Apparently, his grandfather used to own one but they had to sell it off. Since then, Zaan longs to have a beautiful vintage car to his name.

Quite interestingly, since the show is set in the backdrop of Lahore, Punjab during the pre-partition period of 1947, the makers have used classic vintage cars in order to showcase authenticity and naturalism that was true to that era. Needless to say, whilst shooting, Zaan couldn’t seem to get over the grandeur and beauty of it. Even Avtaar Gill who plays a pivotal role in the show was also excited to shoot with the car as he himself is fan of vintage cars.

Sharing his excitement with us, Zaan Khan said, “There’s just something about the beguiling charm of the old. Vintage cars with their enchanting designs are a piece of art in every way. These cars are full of promise and for a vintage car enthusiast like me, goosebumps are guaranteed. I dream of owning a vintage car one day, like the one my grandfather had. But for now, being a part of a show like Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye and getting a chance to drive these cars is as close as it gets to that, I believe.”

Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming show Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye is unique in more ways than one. It’s a love story of three women who fought to fulfil their dreams, hopes and aspiration in such trying times.
Naturally, the makers have spared no effort to curate the right and convincing costumes, accessories, props, set design amongst other things.

Watch Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, from 25th January, Monday to Friday at 9 PM, only on Sony Entertainment Television.
