The Maharashtra state election today (15 October) is surely a day when every citizen of the place needs to cast his/her vote in order to choose their leader-to-be. And going by this mantra, two of the popular shows on Sony Entertainment Television, decided to break away from the shoot schedule, thus declaring a holiday.
Yes, Humsafars (4 Lions Films) and Hum Hain Na (DJ’s A Creative Unit) crew have decided to call off their shoots today, lest it causes any trouble in the shooting procedure.
Humsafars has their set in Cinevistas, Kanjurmarg whereas Hum Hain Na is set in SJ studio. Though Humsafars has declared a holiday today, Hum Hain Na team will shoot late night. The sudden decision has surely brought a smile on the faces of both the teams.
Shares a source from the production house of Humsafars, "Right to vote is the most important thing and we believe everyone should go out and cast their votes and make a difference. By giving everyone a holiday today, we wanted to encourage our entire cast and unit to go and cast their votes. The shoot shouldn't come in the way of exercising this right. Hence we decided to not shoot today."
Kanwar Dhillon, lead actor of Hum Hain Na adds, "I firmly believe that everyone should cast their votes as every vote counts. By voting you can make a difference to your country. Hence to ensure that the entire unit gets time to vote, the production house decided to keep a late night shoot so that voting and the shoot both doesn't get hampered."
This indeed is a great thought, we must say!
