MUMBAI : MTV Splitsvilla season 15, which was hosted by Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani concluded on Sunday, with Jaswanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi becoming winners. The winning pair won the Rs 5 lakh prize money by defeating Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav, the runners-up, by just five seconds.
Sunny Leone was moved with a very emotional conclusion that left her in tears. During the last task, Mischief Maker Uorfi Javed offered the couples an option to put it all at stake and compete for the crown, or take Rs 10 lakhs from the winnings and ruin their partner's strategy.

While Kashish Kapoor betrayed her partner Digvijay Singh Rathee and chose to take the Rs 10 lakhs from the prize money, Jashwanth-Akriti and Harsh-Rushali decided to race for the title.
Due to this, Digvijay's journey on the show also came to an end, and witnessing him experience this kind of "betrayal" drove host Sunny Leone to tears. After a challenging final task, Splitsvilla 15 Jashwanth and Akriti were eventually declared winners.
Speaking about her win in a statement, Akriti stated, “I can’t describe my happiness! This journey was a rollercoaster of emotions. Winning MTV Splitsvilla X5 with my partner, Jashwanth is extremely special for me. It was truly challenging against such strong contenders but we stuck together through it all – the winning title is more important to us than any other distractions that came in between, and we’ve proved it!”
Jashwanth also added, “Winning the title of India’s OG dating reality show is an extremely proud moment for me. Especially when I was so close to claiming the title in both my previous reality shows. But this proves hard work never goes unnoticed. I am beyond thrilled to conquer the winning title of MTV Splitsvilla X5 with my true connection, Akriti. We climbed up the ranks against 30 strong contestants and we silenced all those who criticized us.”
This Splitsvilla season was one of the more controversial ones because so many candidates' ex-partners were present, generating drama. Second, a lot of the contestants this season grabbed media attention for their fights on Instagram Live and even for hiding their real-life relationships. Arbaaz Shaikh is one of the competitors and is now featured on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5. There are also rumors that Digvijay, Kashish, and Siwet Tomar were approached for Bigg Boss 18.
