Actress Jigyasa Singh, who plays the role of a girl who stammers a lot in the TV show “Thapki Pyaar Ki”, believes that stammering is something that many people in India have and it's all about being conscious.

Portraying the protagonist Thapki in the show, Jigyasa shared that a lot of people in India have a stammering problem, which can be handled by making them more comfortable in one's company.

“A lot of people in India stammer, so through this show one can see and learn how to handle people who stammer. Stammering is all about being conscious. The more you make them feel comfortable with you, the less will they stammer,” Jigyasa told.

The story of “Thapki Pyaar Ki”, which airs on Colors TV channel, revolves around a girl who stammers. However, she doesn't let her incapability destroy her cheerful and obedient character. Open to arranged marriage, her parents try hard to get her married but because of her speech impediment, it is difficult for them to find a match.
