MUMBAI: In today’s time when TV shows go off air in a jiffy, Star Plus’ Jhanak has built a loyal audience and has stuck the cord of viewers for its engaging storyline and for bringing interesting twists and turns for the avid watchers.
Jhanak is a romance drama that follows the story of a young woman Jhanak who faces challenges and loss as she tries to fulfill her mother's promise of a better life. However, her life turns upside down after her mother dies and she's forced to marry her cousin's fiancé, Aniruddh. She faces insults from Aniruddh's family, works as a maid, and deals with her aunt's hatred.

The show lead Jhanak is played by Hiba Nawab and actors Krushal Ahuja and Chandni Sharma also play the lead roles. It is produced under Magic Moments Motion Pictures it is an adaptation of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Jol Nupur.
