Struggling Chhoona… gets an extension

Chhoona Hai Aasmaan has touched rock bottom on the TRP chart but that hasn’t prompted the channel, Star One, to pull the plug on the show yet. On the contrary, they’ve received an extension. Speculation was rife that the show could be pulled off air due to constant low TRPs. This talk was seconded by an actor, who on condition of anonymity said, “Yes, I too have been hearing such stories. The channel supposedly has been applying pressure. However, I’m happy with the way this show has panned out for me. As television actors, we always prepare ourselves for the inevitable.”

On the contrary we’ve got an extension.” When asked whether there’s any pressure from the channel Sandeep replied, “Dill Mill Gayye is the only show on Star One which has managed to withstand the onslaught of the Indian Premier League.” Star India VP Marketing and Communications Prem Kamath too agreed that the show has got an extension but refused to say for how long.
