The buzz is Sukh By Chance which is supposed to go off air next month may get a new time slot from next week. Since Sony is planning to launch Indian Idol 5 at 9 pm which had earlier Sukh By Chance, the latter might have to shift to another slot. A source from the show says, “Our contract with the channel is expiring in May, so if it doesn’t get an extension then by May end, our show will wind up. As of now the production house has told us that we may get the 8 pm slot. However, the final decision will be taken by the channel after IPL when the picture is clearer.” Meanwhile, all daily fiction shows of Sony have not been airing on Thursdays despite being advertised in promos. The channel has not officially announced anything for not telecasting Thursday episodes. “Since our show doesn’t air on Thursdays we have enough episodes in our bank. As per contract our show is expected to end by last week of May so we will finish shooting in the second week of next month,” the source adds. We sent a text message to producer JD Majethia to confirm about change in the time slot to which he said, “I am not aware about it.” The channel authorities remained unavailable. As we reported earlier the channel is pulling down three fictional shows, and so Jeet Jayenge Hum and Pyaar Ka Bandhan are ending this Friday. Maan Rahe Tera Pitah will replace Jeet Jayenge Hum at 8.30 pm while Sukh By Chance will get the 8 pm slot of Pyaar Ka Bandhan.
