MUMBAI: Sumit Singh became a household name for her role Reeva Marathe in Star Plus' popular drama series Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.
She was paired opposite actor Shakti Arora in the drama series. Their on-screen pairing became a huge hit among the viewers in no time.
As the show took a leap, Sumit and the other star cast made an exit from the show.
The stunning diva is currently seen in Star Bharat's show Shaitani Rasmein.
Sumit is seen playing the character of Pinni in the show and the viewers are loving to see her in a totally different avatar.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Sumit who spoke about bagging the show, her character and much more.

What were your thoughts before taking up this show? How do you think the viewers have perceived your role in this show?
Honestly, I was a bit confused before taking up the show because it is different from the regular saas-bahu drama as I have only done that kind of shows. But that is what if makes different from other shows so, I thought, let's do this. I thought about grabbing the opportunity and explore something new. That's why I took up the show. I was a bit confused before but now I am enjoying shooting for this show as it is very different, it has powers, magic. I think people should also enjoy and I think they are enjoying it.
How is the atmosphere on the set after shooting intense scenes as the show's genre is such?
The atmosphere on the set is really nice, the entire team is amazing. Although we shoot intense scenes but the atmosphere on the set is really nice. I was recently shooting a scene where I ran away from the house but Kalika comes and saves me. She is my protector right now. That is giving me that power of Kali Maata and strength. Sometimes I feel that power while performing. I am really enjoying doing this show.
Any similarity between you and your character?
A major similarity between Sumit and Pinni is that both are full of life, they love to explore. So, Pinni is always eloping from the house whenever she gets a chance. Sumit is also the same as she wants to explore life. One thing that Sumit can't do but Pinni can as she has powers and Sumit doesn't have. Sumit believes in magic. So I find Pinni's character very fascinating.
