MUMBAI: Sunil Grover is one such name of the entertainment industry that doesn't need any introduction. The actor-comedian has proved his talent in various TV shows and movies. Even though he has acted in many films, he is immensely popular for his impeccable comic skills.

The actor's comic roles of Rinku Bhabhi, Gutthi and Dr Mashoor Gulati are still extremely popular among the viewers.

And now, here’s some good news for the diehard fans of Sunil!  The actor is all set to be back on the small screen with his new comedy show Gangs of Filmistaan. Yes, you read that right!

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Sunil spilt some beans on the show and much more.

We all know that Kapil Sharma's popular TV programme The Kapil Sharma Show is entertaining the viewers for a very long time now.

And now, Sunil too is coming up with another comedy show. Now, comparison between Gangs of Filmistaan and TKSS is bound to happen. When asked about his opinion on the same, Sunil said, “We are making this show with the intention of entertaining the viewers and giving them a reason to laugh amid this trying time of the pandemic."

Gangs of Filmistaan is the first reality show which will be airing on weekdays. Meanwhile, TKSS airs on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunil said, "Viewers can watch my show on weekdays and that show on weekends. Also, it is viewers’ choice as to what they want to watch."

He further added, "Those who don't feel like watching can shut off the TV and go to sleep. (Laughs)."

"We are coming up with the show and we would love if viewers watch it," he signed off.

Gangs of Filmistaan will see Sunil in a brand new avatar where he will play the role of a don. The comedian will also be seen judging various comic artists in the show.

Gangs of Filmistaan will be aired on Star Bharat from Monday to Friday.
