Surendra Rajan wants to give 'Jaadu ki Jhappi' to Sanjay Dutt

Nobody can forget the emotional scene in the movie Munna Bhai MBBS, where Munna Bhai aka Sanjay Dutt hugs a janitor and motivates the man. Yes, we are talking about veteran actor Surendra Rajan who essayed this particular role and got the famous ‘<em>Jaadu ki Jhappi</em>’ from Dutt, is today a sad man and has gone on to express his solidarity after the Supreme Court sentenced Dutt to five more years of imprisonment.

Nobody can forget the emotional scene in the movie Munna Bhai MBBS, where Munna Bhai aka Sanjay Dutt hugs a janitor and motivates the man. Yes, we are talking about veteran actor Surendra Rajan who essayed this particular role and got the famous ‘Jaadu ki Jhappi’ from Dutt, is today a sad man and has gone on to express his solidarity after the Supreme Court sentenced Dutt to five more years of imprisonment. Shocked after hearing the verdict, Rajan shared with Tellychakkar.com, “Sanjay and I have acted together in Munna Bhai MBBS. I still remember the scene where Sanjay had to come and hug me. Today, people recognise me from that particular scene. For me, it is not just a seqeunce but a very emotional moment which I sense even today. And now, when I see him in so much pain, I feel sad for him. He is a very nice person and has a golden heart. He is like my own child and I want to give him a ‘Jaadu ki Jhappi’ and motivate him.” Rajan is not only an actor but also a poet, painter, photographer and nature lover. He has acted in more than 70 to 80 movies till date including Dhamaal, Murder 2, Phas Gaye Re Obama, Paheli, Sehar, My Friend Pinto, to name a few. The man is also known for essaying Gandhiji’s role in movies like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero, The Legend of Bhagat Singh and The Last Days of the Raj. On his passion, Rajan told us, “My inspirations are my poems, painting, photography and nature. They are my first love. I am 75 years old and single. In my entire life I have never gone to a director seeking work. I don’t like people hurling favors at me. I like meeting new people, especially kids. I have tried my hands in everything. I have worked and travelled all around the world. But now I want to retire and go to some calm city and write on my life experience.” Surendra Rajan has been part of international movies like Indian Nocturne (Italian), The Indian (Russia). On Indian television, he has been seen in Bandini. He has also won many awards for his photography.
