Survivor India has taught Abhinav a great lesson

Abhinav Shukla eats, breathes and lives adventure. The handsome hunk, who rose to fame with the negative character Dev in Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, is all set to impress his fans in his stint in Survivor. The reality series will hit the screens tonight (6 January 2012) at 9 pm on Star Plus. Abhinav is a nature-loving person and can blend with it easily, but in the show he found it difficult to get along with other contestants. However, he loved being part of the show, and has learnt important lessons on life from it. “It was difficult to stay in an unknown island without food or any kind of luxury. But the tough situations taught me an important lesson,” says Abhinav. And what exactly is he talking about? “Since childhood, I have been hearing the phrase “mind over matter.” But only after being in Survivor, I have realized its real meaning and importance. With positive thinking and right frame of mind, one can deal with any situation in life.” Furthermore, he goes on to share an anecdote with his fans. “In the show, food was limited. So one day I was too hungry. I am a vegetarian. But I saw a crab crawling by, and I had the urge to eat it up. But then mind prevailed over matter and I controlled my sudden pang.” Well, the show has certainly made him more enlightened. Way to go, Abhinav!!!
