It is some brother bonding happening on the sets of Kyunkii.. Hiten Tejwani who plays the character of Karan in Kyunkii has his brother Hitesh directing the serial. Hitesh has joined back Kyunkii as an independent director from the 4th of January this year. Hitesh says, “I was working as an associate director in Kyunkii but later I left Balaji Telefilms. Last April I returned to Kyunkii and I shot the death sequence and the changing of Tulsi in the serial. I directed the serial for three months. Then I got transferred to Kasautii Zindagi Kay for six months and now I have come back to Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhii Bahu Thi. I have also worked with Santaram Verma who has been awarded for his direction in Viruddh” Hitesh has also been a dancer and has performed in many films like Mohabbatein and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. He informs, “I have danced with Sarojji’s troupe. I was a part of her world tour. I have also done a lot of theatre. To be honest I am money- minded and I accept such work as you make good money from such tours.” Like elder brother Hiten, Hitesh too wanted to become an actor. He says, “I too wanted to be an actor but later when I started working with Mr. Santaram, I developed an interest in direction and discovered that this is what I want to do.” He says, “I credit my success to Mr. Santaram but I credit my brother first as he is the one who introduced me to Mr. Santaram.” So how partial is he towards Hiten when working together? He explains, “I just give my vision to the script. The rest is decided by the script writer and in this case it is Ekta Kapoor who decides.” Bhai ho to aisa!
