We caught up with the pretty actress during the launch of the show and she mentioned, “It took a long time for me to decide to do a drama show on television. This show is definitely not a typical entertainment drama show rather it is an interesting comedy show”.
Saumya, who believes that this particular show is an interesting way of doing fiction, also chatted with us more about current scenario of Indian television.
Talking about the contents of television shows, Saumya said, “I think that television industry is facing severe threats from the digital media. If you look at the kinds of show they are producing, you will surely realize what more we can do with television”.
“I think that gradually there is huge uproar in the industry. But, it is yet to mature. I think the main problem lies in the fact that television is lacking original, creative concepts. Television is a medium of writers, where there is ample scope for writers to create something new”, added the gorgeous lady.
Talking about latest show, she commented, “This show is very different content wise. There is no melo drama, planning plotting against each other in this show. Hope that this show will give a new flavour to the audience”.
We wish the actress all the best with her new show.
