MUMBAI: Teri Meri Dooriyaann, starring Himanshi Parashar and Vijayendra Kumeria, has continued to make news ever since online rumors about the show's going off air surfaced. The makers have chosen to change the track in an attempt to revitalize the program in light of a drop in TRPs.
The character of Sahiba was bumped off from the daily soap opera, which was a significant step. Himanshi Parashar said goodbye to Sahiba, who is now seen in the Teri Meri Doriyaan serial in a new avatar. Since the makers added a fresh twist to the plot, the actress is portraying Gurnoor.
She expressed her happiness at playing the role of Sahiba for a year, calling it a 'beautiful journey'. When asked about the decision to kill her character, Himanshi said that 'everything on television depends on the viewership'. It doesn't take a minute for tracks to change in daily soaps as 'it is the nature of the business', she pointed out.
In addition, Himanshi Parashar talked about the rumours that she was link-up to Karan Mehra. The TV diva called the rumors "weird" and "baseless," and she denied them. She claimed that she had known Karan Mehra since they had collaborated on a Punjabi television show.
Himanshi disclosed that Karan had apologized to her after his wife Nisha Rawal accused him of domestic abuse and having an extramarital affair. While speaking with the popular news portal, the actress claimed that although her name wasn't mentioned directly, people assumed that something had started brewing between her and Karan because they had been together in a show.
"My name was not directly taken, but people assumed that since we were co-actors there was something brewing between us," she told the popular news portal.
