MUMBAI: The news of Sahiba's death in Teri Meri Doriyaann has generated a lot of discussion. The decision to add a new twist to the plot to revamp the narrative and boost the show's declining ratings is a significant development.
The channel gave Teri Meri Doriyaann another chance even though it was about to go off the air. "Teri Meri Dooriyaann has witnessed a drop in numbers in the past two months. Direct competition from IPL 2024 impacted the viewership of the show. While the TRPs were decent in March, the performance of the show has dipped in April and May. Star Plus is not pleased with a rating of 1.1 that the show is delivering at the 7pm slot," a source told the popular news portal.

The source later informed, "Star Plus has given an extension to Teri Meri Doriyaann; however, if the numbers don't improve, the show will go off air in the next two months. The channel has several new shows in the pipeline and it wants to fill up the prime time slots soon."
Himanshi Parashar revealed how Vijayendra Kumeria reacted to Sahiba's death in Teri Meri Dooriyaann. She claimed that her co-star, who did not use glycerine, always loved her character and shed many tears. She claimed to a leading daily that neither Vijayendra nor she used glycerine to cry in front of the screens.
The TV diva claimed that she found it hard to believe Sahiba is dying in the show. "It was a tough one for both of us. Vijayendra and I connect well as co-actors," she told the popular news portal.
When asked if she was disappointed that Angad and Sahiba's track wasn't explored more, she replied that, as an actor, her work does not include writing the show's script.
