He is the king of nonsense...he has the gift of the gab, and he makes celebrities do things they would not be caught doing dead on any other show. He has been called the badshah of bullshit, bakwas, bedlam, blah-blah, the king of kitsch - he is all this and much more. Shekhar Suman is one of those successful men whom you can like or dislike, but cannot ignore!|

Our sources tell us that Shekhar will be a part of The Great Indian...in ten days' time. He will be the main host of the show and will do the stand-ups. Interestingly, the stand-ups are one area where the show was lacking, otherwise the gags and the takeoffs on popular serials is flawless. Shekhar's entry will surely make a difference to the show.
TGICS, the show that remains in the news due to its very popular takes on the saas bahu sagas, has a very interestingstar cast - Gaurav Kapoor, Gaurav Gera, Manini De, Sonia Raikakkar and Vinay Pathak. Pathak's take onMahesh Bhatt is not only hilarious but also an insight into his capabilities as an actor who observes the minutest detail.
Shekhar, who has done shows like Simply Shekhar, Movers and Shakers, Poll Khol andothers, will give the other actors time to work on their gags and make them even better.
Getting Shekhar to be part of the show seems to be a move towards broadbasing the Star One viewership too. Shekhar is known to have the small town appeal and his genre of humour appeals as much to the townsfolk as to the rural junta!
Remember Poll Khol, the show that won Star News such eyeballs during the general elections that it continues to be on air long after the elections are over? Will Mr Television be as successful this time too?
