For the first time filmstar Aamir Khan finds himself marginalised. And by a good measure too. People in the interiors of Indian where Bollywood doesn't have a wide reach, are fond of Aamir Khan for having presented their myriad social problems before the world through Satyamev Jayate (Star Plus).
For Aamir personally, Satyamev Jayate has taught two important things. One that of equality especially to women and second one being the importance of unity.
Says Aamir, "If India has to prosper and go beyond our expectations or reach where we all have dreamt of then we need to look at everyone and say we are all equal especially girls. Today if girls are born they are not fed as much as boys, not educated as much as boys and neither are they given as much freedom as boys. I dream of a day when every man should say, 'My sister gives me strength, wife gives me strength and my daughter gives me strength.' So equality should be there."
Elaborating on the other learning, Aamir explains, "Whenever we see people working together as a team doing what is good for the society rather than themselves, prosperity will happen. Whatever decision is taken should be taken collectively and which is ultimately good for others too. Wherever communities are working together where people are thinking about others, economic prosperity happens The day we realise we are all equal, we will move forward."
Well, strong thoughts from Aamir there. Let's hope the new installment of Satyamev Jayate too inspires everyone a lot more.
