The story felt fresh and diverse: Rahul Bajaj on Tumm Se Tumm Tak

Tumm Se Tumm Tak

MUMBAI: Rahul Bajaj is seen as Bipin in Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah’s new project, Tumm Se Tumm Tak, which produced under their banner, Studio LSD. He shared that when he first heard the concept, he was genuinely intrigued. He said, “The story felt fresh and diverse, and it wasn’t just another love story.”

“What really drew me in was how beautifully the story portrayed age-gap relationships, which are still kind of taboo in our society,” he added.

The show revolves around an age-gap relationship, and the actor feels that such stories are often sensationalized or brushed aside. “What I appreciate about Tumm Se Tumm Tak is that it doesn’t treat the age difference as a gimmick or like a taboo in society. The love story is really fresh and with lots of ups and downs, so do watch to keep yourself excited and experience the roller coaster of emotions,” he said.

Talking about his character, he said, “My character is layered—on the surface, they might seem composed and in control, but internally there’s a lot going on and mischievousness. Dominated by his father and having not seen the world from close, he gives that innocence. It’s really apart from previous characters because of his innocence and childish behavior.”

“At the time of auditioning for Bipin, I really got the main gut of the character, and while the show started rolling, then I started getting the external aspects too, like, is he like this? So I got the character sketch. It really didn't challenge him, but his childishness needs energy to portray,” he added.

Rahul believes that the audience will connect to Bipin’s carelessness and his innocence, adding, “Most of all for his efforts for Anu.”

He is enjoying working with the producers Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah and said, “Both Prateek and Parth bring such clarity and conviction to the table. They’re deeply invested in storytelling and create a space where actors feel safe to explore and take risks.”

“What sets them apart is their balance of creative instinct and emotional intelligence,” he ended.
