MUMBAI: Shamita Shetty had participated in Bigg Boss 3. We'll recall the moment she left the controversial reality program after her elder sister Shilpa tied the knot with tycoon Raj Kundra.
The news of Shilpa Shetty's engagement to Raj Kundra reached Shamita Shetty while she was inside the Bigg Boss house. The popular news portal reports that Shamita stated, "I'm so happy to be out. The minute I got out, I grabbed the nearest person's phone and called my sister. We are extremely close, and I am so glad I am going to be able to attend her wedding."
The report went on to say that the Mohabbatein actress was angry after discovering that the Dhadkan star's wedding was planned. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan hosted the third season of Bigg Boss. That season's victor was Vindu Dara Singh.
Rumors circulated at the time claiming that Bigg Boss' producers had decided to evict the Cash actress after spotting her upset following Shilpa's announcement of her engagement. On November 22, 2009, the actress from Dostana and Raj got married.
The actress from Bewafaa Shamita left the reality program after just 42 days because she wanted to be at her sister's side on her special day. Her exit from the show was unexpected because she was a well-known figure at the time. The Fareb star was never nominated for anything during the entire season, which is another intriguing truth.
Ismail Darbar, Sherlyn Chopra, Kamal Rashid Khan, Poonam Dhillon, Tannaz Irani, Aditi Gowitrikar, the late Raju Srivastav, and numerous others were among the other Bigg Boss 3 candidates. When the actress decided to leave the show, her fans were devastated.
Shamita later participated in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss OTT show. She was the first female competitor on season one of BB OTT. It's significant to note that after her brother-in-law Raj was jailed, the Zeher actress appeared on the reality show. At the time, the fans didn't understand why she had joined the show.
