MUMBAI: Naagin is one of the most loved shows on television. The serial frequently tops the rating charts, and the storyline is quite gripping and keeps the audiences hooked to the screen.

Every season of Naagin has been a huge success, and the audiences showered their love on Naagin 5 as well.

The role of Veer is a very powerful and loved one on television, and viewers love watching Surbhi, Sharad, and Mohit’s bond.

But before signing Sharad Malhotra for the role, the makers had offered the role to a few other actors who refused.

1. Zain Imam

Zain Imam was offered the role of Veer, but he refused to do the role as he didn’t want to be a part of a supernatural show then and wanted to do something different.

2. Harshad Chopda

Harshad to was offered the role, but since he was busy with some prior commitments, he couldn’t be a part of the show.

3. Nishant Malkani

Nishant didn’t accept the offer because he was busy with his show Guddan - Tumse Na Ho Paayega and didn’t have dates. Moreover, he was also going to take part in Bigg Boss 14.

4. Karan Wahi

Karan Wahi was also considered for the role and was almost finalised, but then something didn’t work and he couldn’t be a part of the show. The reason is still unknown.

5. Dheeraj Dhoopar

Dheeraj was a part of Naagin 5, where he played the role of Akash, but the makers wanted him to not only play a cameo but be the lead on the show. Owing to his prior commitments to his show Kundali Bhagya, he couldn’t take up the show.

Well, in the end, the role was bagged by Sharad Malhotra, and fans feel he is the perfect choice for the role and no one could do justice to Veer the way he did.

Fans have also said that Bani and Veer’s chemistry is unmatchable.

No doubt that it’s a big loss for these actors, and they missed out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
