MUMBAI: Bigg Boss is a popular and controversial show of the Telly world. The reality show has successfully completed 13 seasons. Every new season brings a lot of entertainment and gives us all the reasons to watch it.
In the earlier seasons, there were only celebs but since the past few seasons, the viewers also saw commoners being a part of the show.
Well, we all know celebrities charge a whopping amount to participate in the show. In fact, the makers are ready to pay a huge prize to some top celebrities who are willing to be a part of this show.
But there are many celebs who have actually turned down the offer in spite of getting paid a fairly huge amount. The celebrities had their own reason to reject.
So, here's a list of celebs who turned down BB13 and also revealed the reason behind it.
1. Shashank Vyas
Balika Vadhu actor Shashank refused to star in the show. Talking about being approached by the makers, Shashank said, “The thing is I don’t want to play safe. Earning money is not my agenda. If that was my only agenda, I just wouldn’t have chosen acting. There are numerous ways of earning money. I don’t want to be part of Bigg Boss. They had called me, but as far as being part of Bigg Boss is concerned, I never dreamt of jumping from one tree to the other, I had never dreamt of making a vote appeal or staying in a confined space for a period of three months. We have to stick to our dreams and therefore we have to let go off of a lot of things.”
2. Angad Hasija
Bidaai actor Angad Hasija too was approached for the show but he turned down the offer. Revealing the reason behind it, Angad said, “I got an offer for Bigg Boss this year but I rejected it because I feel that Big Boss is just not for me. Sometimes, you feel that a particular thing is just not for you. I feel that I won't be able to survive because of my nature. I had even got an offer from them before but I am not doing it as I feel that I should not do it. There is a lot of buzz about it and even I have heard people saying and asking me whether I am going to be in Bigg Boss but I would like to clear I am not entering the house.”
3. Shama Sikander
Shama Sikander was offered the show several times and when she denied, she was asked if she’d like to be a wild card entrant. In one of her interviews, Shama had said that she didn’t quite like the format of the show by saying that she could earn money through other means, instead of compromising on her happiness and that she cannot stand fights.
4. Shivin Narang
Beyhadh 2’s Shivin was approached for BB season 13 but the actor turned down the offer. During one of his interviews, Shivin had said that for him acting is his top priority. He said, "Bigg Boss is a game show and Beyhadh 2 is a television series where I get to act which I love doing. For an actor, acting is the topmost priority. When I heard the script of Beyhadh 2, I thought my contribution towards this show will be more as compared to Bigg Boss 13. I heard my character, the story and I quite liked it. I felt we will be able to make something different with Beyhadh 2 and from the current types of shows that are running on television like saas bahu, supernatural."
5. Surveen Chawla
Popular TV and film actress Surveen was approached for BB but she was always clear about not taking up the show. Surveen had stated, “I am a big fan of this show but I'm not the right person for this."
