MUMBAI: Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi's season 2 has been the talk of the town. Recently, Shakti Anand who played the character of Hemant Virani in the show shared a video from the shoot of the show leaving fans excited. TellyChakkar.com got in touch with Shakti and asked him about the video he captured and his thoughts on shooting for the show again.

Shakti Anand exclusively told TellyChakkar, “So, we haven’t started shooting yet. We met recently for a look test wherein we only tried on the costumes that our characters would don. I did meet the cast at Ekta’s house and it was amazing to catch up with each one of them. We do bump into each other at different events or parties, but shooting together as the characters that we initially played will be quite a different and exciting experience altogether.”

Talking about reconnecting with Smriti Irani who quit Television to pursue her political career, Shakti said, “It was like two friends meeting each other after a long time. Her political standing didn’t change the bond that we shared. She was candid and told me that I haven’t aged, she also added, ‘tu waise ka waisa hai’ pointing out that I haven’t aged (laughs).”

He added, “Along with Smriti, everyone from the cast has evolved beautifully in their careers. When we began Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 25 years ago, everybody was raw and fresh. When we started off, nobody had an idea about the kind of impact that the show will have on the nation. The characters were recognized even overseas. I used to have fans appreciating the shows in different foreign countries as well."

Shakti concluded saying, "Currently, almost everyone from the cast of the show has made a mark in the industry with their hard work. The fact that the old cast will be reprising the roles that they played 25 years ago goes to prove that everyone is quite valued. I can’t wait for the day when we begin shooting.”
