Vandana Gupta to play the lead in Playtime Creations telefilm for Star Plus

Playtime Creations’ tele film titled Teri Meri Love Stories on Star Plus, that stars Amit Verma and Vinay Rohrra has a new female lead in Vandana Gupta. This Agra born actress has already done a number of films in the South ( Tamil, Telugu and Kannada) and over 80 commercials. Talking about her character in Teri Meri Love Stories, Vandana says, “I play Priya, a café owner, who has had a bad break up. Vinay and my on-screen sister helps to bring Amit and my character close. When I heard it, I loved this story a lot for it gave me chance to play around with different emotions.” Post Teri Meri Love Stories, Vandana is game for more TV shows, but she will not play a weeping bahu. “I think such characters are now loosing popular appeal. I am a very fun loving and practical girl and would love to essay roles that are more realistic.” Among the current shows on air Vandana loves Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. “I just adore Priya’s (Sakshi Tanwar) character and now her five year old daughter Peehu (Amruta Mukherjee). Like ever actor, Bollywood is also on Vandana’s radar. “I am hopeful that some director will like my work in Teri Meri Love Stories and offer me a nice Hindi film.” Watch Vandana’s debut on TV on 8th September at 9 pm on Teri Meri Love Stories on Star Plus.
