Varun Dhawan compares 'Indian Idol 10' contestant to Salman Khan
Actor Varun Dhawan, who visited the Indian Idol 10 set to promote his forthcoming film, compared contestant Salman Ali to actor Salman Khan.
Salman Ali, one of the top 11 contestants on the singing reality show, takes care of his large family single-handedly, and he strives to fulfil the wishes of his parents.
Varun, who made an appearance on the show with his Sui Dhaaga - Made In India co-star Anushka Sharma, was mighty impressed by Salman Ali, as he was touched by his story of struggling to make ends meet, read a statement.
The actor then said, "Salman Ali is the Salman Khan of our music industry. His performance was absolutely incredible. I felt as if I was listening to a recording and not a live performance. It's said that when you do a film, you have to completely get into the character of the role.
"I have acted as a hero in multiple movies, but I would like to say that the real hero out here is Salman Ali who so lovingly takes care of his parents. I wish him all the happiness in the world and I am totally sure that he will reach the pinnacles of success. His parent's blessings and our good wishes are always with him."

Anurag Kashyap wanted to cast Sobhita Dhulipala in Sacred Games season 1 but since she was already committed to Zoya Akhtar's show for Amazon then, she had to let go of the project and now when Anurag has written an all new character for her she jumped and grabbed the opportunity. Mouni Roy just refused a web series owing to payment issues
Mouni Roy just made her Bollywood debut with Gold opposite Akshay Kumar and now we hear that she has hiked her price. According to some media reports, Mouni was offered a pretty big web series for which she quoted a whopping sum of Rs 3 lakh per episode as her fee. But since Hina Khan is paid 2.5 lakh per episode, Mouni felt that since she has done a movie, her fee should be a little more than three lakh. When the makers of the project couldn't accommodate Mouni's fee, Mouni declined to be a part of the web series.

Actor Gurucharan Singh Sodhi, who plays the famous Sodhi in popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, feels all the actors of this cult show are social doctors. He says, "I was born and brought up in Mumbai, my roots are from Punjab. I came to Mumbai in 2007 with the dream of becoming an actor. I took training in acting under Barry John for three months. My family was not aware of my passion for acting. I used to watch lot of movies and from there my passion for films developed. When I came to Mumbai I had just told this to my mother. My sister and her husband are based in Mumbai and they became my greatest support system. The best part of my acting career is I have never struggled for my first break. Within a span of six months I got Tarak Mehta show in my kitty. Yes, initially people used to advice me I should cut my hair and all. But as a true Sikh, I will never ever think about that. And the almighty has given me a role of Sardarji only. I have started my work in 2008 and it’s been a decade. For ten years I have worked in this show. People ask me about monotony as I am only working in this show but not for a single day I have faced that in my life. These ten years passed like a fraction of second."

Speaking on that Gurucharan says, "Yes, certainly in today's world when everyone is so stressed and does not have time for anyone then there is a show like Tarak Mehta which is instrumental for the positivity which makes it special.
