MUMBAI: The Hindu festival of Guru Purnima celebrates the significance of a teacher in one's life. To mark the occasion Anjali Tatrari, who essays the role of Niya Sharma in Sony Entertainment Television’s show, Mere Dad Ki Dulhan found a father figure and a mentor in her co-star Varun Badola.
Ever since Mere Dad Ki Dulhan launched, Varun has always been there for Anjali not just professionally, but also emotionally as a father figure. The senior actor has taught her everything - the nuances of the craft, giving voice modulation tips to all the acting techniques. Varun Badola goes all out to make sure that newbie Anjali Tatrari is headed in the right direction, professionally, in the television world. He also loves to pamper her like his own child.
Similarly, Anjali looks up to him as a role model. She shares a very strong equation with him and often receives a lot of appreciation, encouragement, and love from her on-screen dad.
Sharing her gratitude towards Varun on Guru Purnima, Anjali shares, “I’m truly thankful that I got the opportunity to share the screen space in my very first show with Varun sir. I have not just found a father figure in him, but also a mentor who has helped me through every scene in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan, since the beginning. I always look forward to learning more from him. Being a veteran, he has helped me grow as an actor in every way possible. All these learnings are very precious to me. Varun Sir is not just my reel father, he's my Guru in every sense.”
