Actor Vijay Badlani can get into the skin of any given role with ease. And according to him, he has obtained this prowess owing to his theatre work that he undertakes now and then.
Come 14 November, and one can see him in action in the play Masoom Bachha, a story by Munshi Premchand. The play will be directed by Mujib Khan, Idea Group of Theatres and will happen in Prithvi.
Talking about his theatrical experience, Vijay says, “I keep doing theatre whenever I have time on hand. The trial show for Masoom Bachha happened last week, and now we are looking forward for it in Prithvi on 14 October. Basically, I do theatre to discover myself, and I feel enriched after the experience.”
On the story of Masoom Bachha, the actor states, “I will play a very rich guy who gets to know that his ‘naukar’ (servant) is marrying a girl who has a very bad image in society. My character will keep telling his servant not to ruin his life by marrying that girl. However, the guy will decide to leave the job and go, get married to the lady. During the whole play, I will try to convince him to get away from that lady. However, the climax of the play will come with a very nice message, which is for the audience to see.”
Badlani is presently seen essaying the role of Tansen in Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar.
