MUMBAI: The focus is on mental health right now, and actor Vikas Sethi minces no words as he talks about the phase when he went through a low. “I went through depression, but with help from my family members, I managed to bounce back,” he says.
Talking about Sushant Singh’s Rajput's death by suicide, he says, “It’s still a mystery, different stories are coming up. I don’t want to say anything and politicise the issue. I had a bad phase, too, but I survived. I won’t say he was weak and I was strong. Nobody has a right to comment on Sushant. Ab bolna ki usne yeh karna chahiye tha, ya woh karna chahiye tha makes no sense. Stop it. He’s gone and is not going to come back now.”

A career in showbiz is never easy and there are highs and lows that one has to go through. “Also, if you are on top, then you have many friends. And, if you are down, people just leave you,” says Vikas, adding, “All I would like to tell anyone going through struggle is, do not give up. Work or no work, you have to survive.”
Vikas also gives credit to his wife Jhanvi for helping him stay positive. Meanwhile, on the work front, he is looking forward to making content and also getting back to acting. “The coronavirus pandemic has slowed down things for everyone, but this, too, shall pass,” the actor says.
