Vishal Singh is in favour of sending kids to boarding schools for better Parvarrish

Sony Entertainment Television’s parenting show Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi (DJ’s A Creative Unit) is currently dealing with a very common issue of sending children to boarding schools. Currently, Jeet (Vishal Singh) and Pinky (Rupali Ganguly) are debating over the same issue to send Rashi (Sparsh Khanchandani) to a boarding school or not after she faced some disciplinary issues on pushing a boy in their society. “My character does not want to send Rashi to boarding as a punishment but rather feels that she is a very intelligent kid and just needs the right atmosphere to channelize her energies, which she will get in a boarding. Personally, I had been in boarding for four years i.e. class four to class eight. I did not get there for my parents got tired of my pranks, but I liked the overall ambience of the place like the playgrounds, gym etc,” shares Vishal with Tellychakkar.com. He further continues, “I will surely enroll my future kids in boarding schools as schools in Mumbai lack infrastructure when compared to them. And most importantly, kids need to be kept away from TV and films. There should be a balance in terms of exposure which is done in a hostel environment.” But does the child not miss the parents and vice versa? “Yes, but then you do get good number of holidays. The kid anyway spends only eight months in school every year.” Fair enough, Vishal. Looking ahead in the show, Rashi will come to know about the plan of sending her to a boarding in an unfortunate way. “I will not reveal how will she learn and what will be her reaction. Watch it for yourself. But yes, she will be very hurt,” informs Vishal. Furthermore, about the low ratings (2 TVRs) of the soap he opines, “We have some time touched more than 2 points but there are other factors like cricket matches, award functions, which do affect the ratings”. He also does not think that adding a bit more drama to the current realistic portrayal will help the ratings, “It might with the numbers but that will spoil the whole tenor of the show and it will become like other daily dramas,” he ends.
