We are still in the 'liking' phase at the moment: Nach Baliye 9’s Shantanu Maheshwari on Nityaami

MUMBAI: Shantanu Maheshwari, who is known for his dancing skills and acting chops, has participated on Nach Baliye 9. Produced by Salman Khan, the ninth season of the popular couple dance reality show will see Shantanu dancing with Nityaami Shirke.

Shantanu and Nityaami have been dating for a few months now. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Shantanu revealed what made him finally say yes to the show and much more.  When asked what will be their USP as a couple on Nach Baliye, he said, “I honestly don't feel that you need to have a said 'USP' in a relationship! Though the thing that sets us apart is that we are still in the 'liking' phase at the moment! It is the beginning of the relation, where it’s all about getting to know each other. Considering the duration of our relationship being the youngest right now, well this phase is honestly the best one.”

Nityaami added, “As a couple, we are pretty easy going, fun and candid. And just two people who prefer going with the flow and taking each day as it comes! So, that I feel is our USP or more like qualities which bring out who we truly are as people, and what made us initially click together”

The dancer-actor also shared how they ended up participating in Nach Baliye. He said, “I have been offered Nach Baliye in the past, but was not in a relationship so never took it up. Though this time it accidentally slipped out from my mouth that I am seeing someone, after which things just fell into place and Nityaami and I mutually decided to do the show. We are also using this as an opportunity to spend more time together and explore our relationship. Also, Nityaami is someone who loves dancing, and I am now happy to bring back dance into her life.”
