MUMBAI: TV actress Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen have been the talk of the town these days since their bitter separation with each other. They both have been in a spat and have placed a target on each other’s back. They accused each other of infidelity, then Charu claimed that Rajiv had hurt her physically and emotionally as well. Recently, the actress shared about trying to make their marriage work for a second time. Here’s what happened.

She shared that her divorced husband had a habit of blocking her number on the phone whenever they fought. He would even disappear often without letting her know where he went. Irritated with this repeated behaviour, Rajeev’s family even asked her to be mature and leave her work and cook for him instead. In an interview with a news portal, she shared, “Once he disappeared for 3 months and blocked me on the phone. His family is also annoyed with him because to make him understand is not possible. So they would tell me to be mature. You stop working for 6 months, start cooking for him, he will be very happy.”

She also added that Rajeev would frequently tell her that if she was working, their marriage would never last, which was completely opposite from what he told during their pre-wedding interviews. He had told everyone that he would like her to continue working. She said that she gave him a second chance and stopped working to try and save her marriage, but he would also tease her when male co-stars would greet her. She said, “He would say such cheap things when I would go for auditions. He would send me messages. He was always suspicious about me and would link me up with anyone. There was a time when I would get scared of stepping out of the house thinking it would upset Rajeev. Kahin unka mood Na kharab hojaaye.”

She further claimed that she was pressured by her family into make her second marriage work, because they were fearful of how society would treat her. She said, “I was always under pressure from my family’s side to make this second marriage work. Otherwise, people would think bad about me and taunt me that Iss ladki mein he problem hai, Tabhi dusri Shaadi nahi Tikki. Hence, I put in a lot of effort and it got me frustrated and I was not happy.”

Charu and Rajeev got married in 2019 and had taken a break twice due to personal issues. They decided to try and work on their marriage once more for their daughter Ziana, but all their efforts seemed to be in vain, according to reports. They have been playing the blame game ever since and new controversies about the two are being created every day. The details and truth about their marriage are still yet to be confirmed.
