Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin has gone on to become one of the most iconic shows, one that leads the way for a lot of fantasy supernatural shows. Nobody can forget the first season and how it laid the foundation for the show to have 6 successful ones.
The show is one of the longest-running seasons of a TV franchise. There have been shows which have had many seasons. When we talk about fictional shows having seasons and completely new iterations every season, Naagin is definitely a benchmark show with seasons and franchises.
Before its launch, it was reported that this season of Naagin 6 was being made on a budget of Rs. 130 crores, and this season in particular saw some of the biggest VFX work on television.
There are many reasons that have made Naagin one of the longest-running franchises on Indian television.
From casting A-list stars like Tejasswi Prakash, Surbhi Jyoti, Mouni Roy, Surbhi Chandna, and more in the lead roles, to increasing the scale of production, and with every season they come up with more interesting and amazing storylines. The love for the show and the franchise has increased day by day and season by season. The show has also seen many new pairings over the years: Mouni Roy-Arjun Bijlani, Tejasswi Prakash-Pratik Sehajpal, Surbhi Jyoti-Pearl V Puri, Nia Sharma-Vijendra Kumeriya, and Surbhi Chandna-Sharad Malhotra. Many other stars like Adaa Khan, Sudha Chandran, and more have been seen in prominent roles.
And now that season 6 is ending, reports suggest that preparations for season 7 have already begun, and even Season 6 is ending with a high TRP.
So it is safe to say that the grandeur, great casting, different storylines every time, and a pulse for what the audience wants have made Naagin the longest-running franchise on Indian television!
