Parineeta, the actress who is currently seen as Nimmo in Veeranwali would probably remember the evening of 3 June, 2008 throughout her life. It was one of the days when Parineeta got out on the wrong side of her bed. The actress who was heading for her shoot had a chilling experience on 3 June. The actress who was driving Santro rammed her car into a Toyota Corolla and had to suffer the aftermaths of the accident. But to her luck, actress Nupur Alankar came to her rescue at the time when she was being harassed by the male driver of the Corolla and his friend.
Nupur says, “I was hunting for a pani-puri wala in Oshiwara. I noticed a mob that had gathered around a car and the female driver who was surrounded by the mob looked like parineeta. I immediately asked my driver to drive me there. I got out of my car and noticed a terrified Parineeta.”
“It did not take me much time to understand the whole situation. Parineeta who had banged her car into a Corolla was being harassed by a hefty driver and his friend. They were screaming at her and a mob of around twenty to thirty people had gathered around her. I immediately got into action and asked the two guys to calm down and park the car aside and made the mob disperse. I then called up Sangeet, executive producer of Veeravali and in the meantime Parineeta had called up her husband. I then politely asked the guys about the damage and told them that they would be reimbursed but they were not ready to pay heed. Then a cop came and recognised me but I told him that we had solved the matter,” adds the actress.
The actress who dreads to remember the incident says, “We both were at fault. It was so crowded that we couldn’t see each other coming. I was really scared as the hefty guy started using foul language and was not ready to understand that it was his fault too. But Nupur ji came to my rescue like an angel. The guy took my number and later called me up to say sorry. That day I vowed that I would never drive again but I have started driving because I believe such things happen everyday.”
