MUMBAI: Industry insiders had no idea that Colors TV's latest debut of Laughter Chefs would go on to become the year's most popular non-fiction show. The engaging episode of the cooking reality show has allowed it to connect with viewers.
Aly Goni, Rahul Vaidya, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Kundrra, Kashmera Shah, Krushna Abhishek, Jannat Zubair, Reem Shaikh, Nia Sharma, and Sudesh Lehri are among the well-known television celebrities that appear in Laughter Chefs. Based on the BARC TRP ratings, it has emerged as one of the best properties on the small screen.
Rohit Shetty is all set to return to the TV screens with a blockbuster season of Khatron Ke Khiladi. The upcoming season features an interesting line-up of contestants. The likes of Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Karan Veer Mehra, Gashmeer Mahajani, Abhishek Kumar, Shalin Bhanot, Asim Riaz, Krishna Shroff, Niyati Fatnani, Aditi Sharma, Shilpa Shinde, Sumona Chakravarti, Aashish Mehrotra are participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
On July 27 at 9:30 p.m., the programme will debut on Colors channel, taking the place of Laughter Chefs on weekends.There were speculations on Laughter Chefs' end following the release of the promotional video for Khatron Ke Khiladi season 14 by Colors TV. On the other hand, the popular news portal revealed an update regarding the show's extension. They even speculated that the top reality programme would move to a different time slot. The report proved to be right.
"Laughter Chefs is a popular property for Colors TV. The channel might give an extension to the show and shift it to either 8 or 8:30pm slot on weekends. There's no official confirmation about the same as the actors are still busy shooting for Laughter Chefs," the source added.
If the recent buzz is to be believed, Colors channel has decided to change the timings of Laughter Chefs and shift the show to a weekday slot to make way for Khatron Ke Khiladi season 14.
The popular news portal has learned that the GEC has decided to push the show to the weekday slot. "As Lakshmi Narayan and Suhagan Chudail were not fetching amazing ratings during the 10-11pm slot, the channel has decided to experiment by shifting Laughter Chefs to Thursday and Friday 10pm slot. It is a gamble and the programming team is confident that Karan Kundrra's show will continue to grab eyeballs at a new time slot," a source said.
