MUMBAI: Producer Asit Kumarr Modi is one producer who should be very proud of himself!
It was more than a decade ago that he decided to launch Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on SAB TV with confidence that this unique genre will be successful! He made it a complete family entertainer and a situational comedy. The show narrates how the residents of Gokuldham Society help each other in situations and how they face challenges with unity. Along with a strong dose of comedy, the show focuses on social issues too. The residents of the society range from Sikh and South Indian to Gujarati.
However, there is no Muslim or Christian family as such in the show.
While the makers have tried to incorporate a maximum of cultural mixes in the society, they have not shown a particular family joining in from this community except for Abdul. Since we are nearing the end of 2019 and entering 2020, we look forward to having another family join in the society and the Gokuldham society members welcoming them!
