Will Popatlal get engaged to Kari?

The beauty of Taarak Mehta ka ooltah chashmah lies in the fact the shows give equal importance to its supporting cast. And, the audience has never complained. After all, they’ve appreciated every character in the show. Presently, the track focuses on Popatlal (Shyam Pathak), one of the sedate characters in the show. The pencil-size journalist has fallen in love with a firang guest – Kari Irwin. He’s going around telling the whole world that Kari has accepted his marriage proposal and that he’ll be getting engaged to the British lady soon. But is that how it will pan out? Unfortunately, a heart break is in the offing. Says a source, “This whole thing about Popatlal and Kari’s engagement has been brought about due to some misunderstanding between the two. It’s basically a one-side affair. During one conversation with Popatlal, Kari reveals that she’s getting engaged to her boyfriend. However, language proves to be a barrier here and Popatlal thinks that Kari wants to marry him. Out of joy, he goes around the whole society telling everyone that he’s getting engaged to Kari. Eventually, this misunderstanding will be cleared and Popatlal will be left heart broken.” There’s some murmur that Popatal’s character will be bumped off. “No, there’s no truth to it. It’s buzzed that Popatlal’s character is boring and so it will be bumped off but that’s far from the truth. He’s an integral part of the show. He’ll be left heart broken but Popatlal will be back to his usual jovial self. As for Kari she’ll go back to London,” the source added. We tried calling Shyam Pathak but he remained unavailable for comment. This Popatal-Kari track is expected to conclude in the coming days.
