MUMBAI: Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi is an Indian romantic drama television series that used to air on the Sony Entertainment Television channel and had showcased two seasons so far, premiering from 29 February 2016 to 2 November 2017. It starred Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes and Supriya Pilgaonkar as the main leads.

The show was an extremely popular one for showcasing an inter-cultural love story of a Bengali girl named Sonakshi Bose (played by Erica Fernandes) with a Marathi guy Devrath Dixit (played by Shaheer Sheikh), along with some intense family drama owing to inter-cultural differences and issues like dealing with rejection, separation, acceptance of differences and the acknowledgement of faults. Meanwhile, actress Supriya portrayed Shaheer's character Dev's on-screen mother - Ishwari Devi.

Starting off with naive characters with stable job life, this show has undergone some time leaps to showcase the poignant individual on-screen character's overall character development. While Devrath Dixit owned Ishwari Enterprises, Sonakshi Bose was a hospital-associated consulting nutritionist, whom Dev hires as his mother's personal nutritionist for lattermost's deteriorating health conditions.

This show made a revolutionary impact on it's viewers for displaying human practicality over twitching melodrama and random plot twists. The plot's subtle pace was the win-win feature as the audience could resonate it to their own lifestyle. On top of that, Shaheer-Erica's on-screen pairing as Dev and Sonakshi and their hopeful chemistry was the show's biggest achievement. The beautiful part of it's lovely plot was the victory of true love all over again, without the requirement of being chased.

While Devrath Dixit owned Ishwari Enterprises, Sonakshi Bose was a hospital-associated consulting nutritionist, whom Dev hires as his mother's personal nutritionist for lattermost's deteriorating health conditions. This is how the first season commences. With time, Dev and Sona develop feelings for each other, which leads to Dev breaking his engagement with Natasha Gujral. The problem arises when Dev's mother Ishwari craved for her son's attention as he was prioritising another woman in his life over his own mother, despite trying her best to accept Sonakshi for Dev. This emphasis on one's dynamic psychology helped garner the show's massive audience. Learning about his mother's further health deterioration owing to her discomfort with Sona, Dev broke up with Sonakshi. However, with time, Ishwari witnesses Dev's mad love for Sona. Hence, she finally accepts Sona for Dev's sake. However, problems aggravated with their marriage, firstly due to cultural differences, later owing to deep misunderstandings amid the trio.  After much tolerance, Sona and Dev give up on their marriage without divorce and walk apart.

After a seven-year leap, Dev and Sona are seen staying separately in different cities. While Dev has developed peculiar characteristics, Sona grows stronger and more independent. While Dev is indifferent to Ishwari and his other family members, Sonakshi shifts to Delhi for business purposes and accidentally buys a portion of Dev's office. With a lot of hits and misses, Dev happens to befriend a little girl named Suhana, who's none other than his and Sonakshi's daughter. On learning about this, both Dev and Sona are compelled to reunite only for Suhana's sake. With recurring instances, Dev and Sona's destiny again combine and with Sonakshi's second pregnancy, the duo settle down as an official couple and accept each other with all their hearts.

Now, the show commences it's second season by showcasing Dev-Sona's parenthood journey, how they balance their own lives with their job life and their children's upbringing, turn by turn. The various challenges of parenting were highlighted herein, with Sona receiving the 'Best Businesswoman of the Year' award and Dev turning into a popular RJ of a Radio Station.

Pretty soon, the show's third season titled Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi: Nayi Kahaani would premiere on the OTT platform Sony LIV and star the same cast. Lately, both Erica and Shaheer wrapped up it's shoot in Siliguri (West Bengal).
