MUMBAI: Gashmeer Mahajani, who’s seen in Imlie, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Marathi film 'Hambirao Sarsenapati'.

He posted the trailer of the film and got his fans excited to see him in a never-seen-before avatar. But what grabbed attention are the comments of some fans who wrote about the actor playing a double role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj in the film.

A number of fans have already stated that he will be seen playing the dual role of Sambhaji Maharaj and Shivaji Maharaj in the magnum opus.

If this is true, it will be something that has never been witnessed in the history of cinema regardless of the language of the film. He will likely be the first actor who will be seen portraying both the roles in the film, and this will be a huge treat for cinema-goers. Supposedly, the film will be the biggest film ever made in the history of Marathi cinema with a budget of Rs 12-13 crores.
