When contacted, Manoj Chandila who was last seen in Sony Entertainment Television’s Desh Ki Beti… Nandini said, “This is the first time I have experimented on something like this. I am usually not in a mood to do episodics. But after shooting for this particular story of Yeh Hai Aashiqui, I would like to tell all that one should give Yeh Hai Aashiqui a try, as it has a lot to experiment as an actor. I had a great time shooting with BBC for this episodic. We shot under extreme heat as we had to shoot at outdoor locations.”
Manoj who had a special hair-do to shoot for the episodic further said, “Episodics are no doubt a rigorous exercise, but I am sure all our efforts will pay off. I am glad that I was the one who inaugurated this theme-based format in Yeh Hai Aashiqui. I am happy that I cut the ribbon (smiles). I want to personally thank Palki (Malhorta, Creative Producer); she took great care of us. I like her attitude towards life.”
When contacted, the Bangalore girl Pankhuri told us, “I am presently working in Bangalore. This will be my first appearance on TV. I am happy to have shot for this challenging role, that of a Kashmiri girl. I am looking at more projects too, and will take them if they are meaty enough.”
The first story of this four-week mini-series on ‘Disaster’ will go on air from15 June 2014.
