Yeh Hai Aashiqui to re-launch actor Shravan Reddy; Barkha Bisht to play his love interest

Remember the young and handsome lad Shravan Reddy who essayed the role of Nakul in SAB TV’s popular show Jersey No. 10? The actor who was also part of Colors’ Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari is now back to the small screen after a hiatus of few years. Yes, Shravan will make his comeback on Disney Bindass, Yeh Hai Aashiqui (produced by Lost Boy Productions and BBC Worldwide Productions). Shravan is back after going through a major health issue for nearly two years. We hear that the actor tore a ligament on his knee years back when he was shooting for a commercial ad, which he went on to ignore. The condition became so serious that he had to later undergo a major surgery on his knee and go through a very cautious post-operative phase. Says the actor, “Yes, you heard it right. A part of negligence from my side put me in a situation where I had to stay in bed for nearly two years. I am back now, fit as ever and am raring to go. I do not know what kind of roles I want to take up, but can say that I will prefer to play romantic characters as this has actually been my forte.” He goes on to say, “Life has taught me quite a lot, and I can say that I am a smart actor now. I am looking forward to my second innings on TV.” In Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Shravan has been paired opposite the tall and elegant Barkha Bisht. Shravan will play the role of a rather under-confident guy who has just come out of his teens. He has lost his mother and his father has no time in offer for his son. The guy who carries a lot of baggage will then meet his teacher (essayed by Barkha) much elder in age, who will show him the right path and instill confidence in him to face his future. We also hear that the story will have the backdrop of one of the central characters suffering from AIDS. On his role in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Shravan avers, “A very interesting character, that of a boy who does not know what he needs to do in life. Yeh Hai Aashiqui always portrays unique love stories, and this is also one. You need to watch the episode to know what it is about.” We tried contacting Barkha, but did not get through to her.
