MUMBAI: The episode starts with a new challenge in their life in the form of their professional assignments. Both Kartik and Naira get chosen by the royals - Jadejas and Scindias - to design for the wedding in their family.
Dadi was already not pleased with Naira's decision to work with Mihir Kapoor (the world famous jewellery designer). And now, incidentally, Naira becomes Kartik's competitor after Kartik gets chosen by the Jadejas to design for them. So it is Naira and Mihir Kapoor on the one side and Kartik Goenka on the other. It is a contest between the husband and the wife.
The Goenkas extend support to both Naira and Kartik, but Dadi isn't pleased with this development on the professional front. The next morning, Swarna overhears Naira telling Kartik that she would defeat him by applying the formula taught by him. Swarna doesn't appreciate Naira's comments but refrains from saying anything to her.
A while later, when Naira and Kartik get ready to leave for the joint meeting with the royals, Dadi purposely organises Gayu's 'mooh dikhayi ceremony' without informing anyone in the family. Dadi intends to stop Naira from attending the meeting by making her stay back for the ritual.
Kartik argues with Dadi, but Naira asks him to remain quiet. She tells Kartik to attend the meeting by assuring him that she would join him soon. To ruin Naira's career prospects, Dadi even puts Naira's phone on 'aeroplane mode' to ensure she doesn't receive calls from her office.
Meanwhile, Dadi asks Naira to entertain guests by serving them drinks and that's when she gets a call from Kartik informing her about her phone is out of coverage area. Naira realises that her phone was on aeroplane mode.
Elsewhere, the meeting with the royals begins, but Kartik doesn't want to attend the meeting without Naira.
