Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Romiit Raaj opens up on his BIGGEST FEAR, says, ' Once I was offered a Fear Files...' - EXCLUSIVE

MUMBAI: Romiit Raaj is presently seen in Star Plus' popular drama series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

The actor is slaying in the role of Rohit Poddar in the show who is an advocate.

Romiit's on-screen pairing with Garvita Sadhwani has become everyone's favourite.

While the actor is quite popular among the viewers, we are sure there are many things about Romiit which not many are aware of.

When we got in touch with Romiit, the actor had an amazing anecdote to share with us.

''Whenever I go to an outstation for work purposes, the lights are always on in my bedroom. So, when I am travelling alone, I am very scared of ghosts and spirits, that's why.''

''Even if I am alone at my house, I make sure that the lights are always on in my bedroom while I sleep. I have been doing this since my childhood.''

Revealing what triggered this, Romiit quipped, ''I saw one movie called Jaani Dushman and it impacted me so badly, I was not keeping well for 2 to 3 nights after that. When I hear about these English movies, they are so scary, I don't even see their posters.''

''I was I guess 10-years old when I saw Jaani Dushman and post that, I have never watched any horror movies. I will never ever watch horror films. I just don't like scary and ghost faces which are shown in the movies.''

Romiit reveals an interesting incident, ''Once I was offered a Fear Files kind of a show and as I wanted to get myself some work, I picked up this show. I was so scared, plus we were shooting at night that too in a bungalow. So, I used to always be with the unit only and not sit alone in the vanity room. Nobody knew that I was so scared. And the funniest part is that I had to defeat a ghost on-screen.''

Lastly, Romiit mentioned that he is a braveheart in front of his family.

He said, ''As a father I was always there and never made my daughter or family feel that I was scared about ghosts and all.''
