In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Shruti shed light on the competition with other popular shows on GEC’s and the race for TRP’s.
She said, “The show which I am a part of is a brand now. It is a connecting show because it has been going on for years and it is currently in its 16th year. It has been over 8 months for me with this show now. There is a race for TRPs which has been on-going for a long time in the industry now. TRPs have been one of the most important factors for everyone including channels and producers. If the TRPs are high, it means that the show is much liked.
Creatives, writers and the entire team are cracking plots with heightened drama and emotions as that is what works best on television, particularly daily soaps. It is a task because you have to keep the audience connected and glued to you. Luckily in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, we have the makers and the writers who are very accomplished and experienced. They know what they are doing and have been doing it for the past many years and are very good at it.
It is hard work for the makers to churn out content, the actors to perform and execute it in the right way, the direction is taking care of in a very fine manner, so there are many factors and hardwork which is put into making the show a success.” (Also Read: Shruti Ulfat to do Gafla!)
