MUMBAI : Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus is one of the longest-running Indian TV shows. While daily soap operas have been canceled in the last six months, YRKKH has been providing viewers with entertainment since January 2009.

Shivangi Joshi-Mohsin Khan eventually took over as the show's lead after Hina Khan and Karan Mehra initially starred as the stars. In 2021, Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod were selected as the leaders of the third generation.

The makers took another step last year, locking up Samridhii Shukla and Shehzada Dhami as the new stars. Even though Shehzada was let go from the show, Samridhii is still an essential part of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Replacing a well-established pair like Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod is not an easy feat. The TRPs of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai dropped when the makers replaced the leads in November 2023. However, the ratings gradually improved and the audience accepted Samridhi Shukla as the new face of YRKKH.

The TV diva recently talked about meeting Pranali Rathod while filming a promo for the show and shared her experience, all praise for Akshara, aka Pranali.

Samridhii said she was thrilled to meet Pranali Rathod because the actress had worked with her in Barrister Babu, directed by Mangesh (who also directed Saavi Ki Savaari). The actress claimed that Pranali was unaware of her, but that Pranali had heard about her from people who had complimented her.

"She's super sweet and easy. In fact on her farewell, I told her I know it's hard to say goodbye but I wish for you to reach far heights and do great work," Samridhii Shukla told the popular news portal.
