MUMBAI: After doing several TV shows and making a name for herself, Yesha Harsora is all set to be back with her new show Pocket Mein Aasmaan.
The viewers who have always appreciated Yesha's performance in her previous projects, are excited to see her in the new show in a totally new avatar.
Pocket Mein Aasmaan's promo was launched a few months ago and it has already created a lot of buzz.
It stars Abhika Malakar and Farman Haider in the lead roles.
As the show inches towards its launch, TellyChakkar got in touch with Yesha who spoke about taking up this role and much more.
What made her wait so long to take up the next project?
Before I was offered Pocket Mein Aasmaan, I was going to play the lead in Colors TV show Khubsurrat. However, the show got scrapped. I shot for it for almost 2 to 3 months. That show would have been an absolute hit if it was on-air currently. Post that, I was waiting for some good character to come my way as I am studying as well. I am doing my Diploma. I wanted good stories and character to come my way.
In this show, my character Alisha is really nice. It's not a negative character but it is on a grey side. But it gets a lot of justification on why she is doing such things. I am sure that the viewers will definitely connect to Alisha and even I could relate to her. She is not a bad person but whatever decision she has taken it is because of the situation.
Did you bring any new elements to your character before you kickstarted the shoot?
I would say yes because the producer had explained to me the storyline of the show. There is always one positive character in the show which is Rani. This is the remake show and Abhika had done the bengali version of this. So, Abhika is playing the same character again in the hindi version. Farman and I had already worked in Khubsurrat. We had a track together in that show as he was my best friend. So, I already have a connection with Farman.
Talking about my character, I have played positive characters till now in my previous shows, I was again approached for a positive character. But this character is a bit grey and not completely negative.
Well said, Yesha!
Pocket Mein Aasmaan will hit the small screens from 30h January on Star Plus!
