Tellychakkar.com earlier reported that Ashish Sharma, who plays the protagonist in Imagine's Chandragupta Maurya got a long cut on his nose, which goes up till his right cheek. His nose was almost broken when a stuntman hit an artificial sword straight onto his nose. And sadly, history repeated itself just today (24 January 2012) when the TV actor got a bad bruise on his left cheek. This incident took place at around 2 am.

As per a source, Ashish was shooting for an action sequence, when this accident happened. In this scene, Chandragupta enters the dynasty of Digvijay (Lalit Negi) to fight a battle, but when it ends, Chandragupta realizes that Digvijay is his childhood friend. And then, the two friends come together to fight against Dhanananda. However, during the battle sequence between Digvijay and Chandragupta; Lalit was to punch Ashish on the face. And though it was supposed to be a fake punch, Lalit accidently punched Ashish for real. In fact, a punch was not all that Ashish got, he also obtained a deep cut on his left cheek as Lalit was wearing a big ring on one of his fingers that pealed some portion of Ashish's skin off his cheek. (That must have been gruesome) Tellychakkar.com spoke to Ashish about this and he confirmed the same and said, "When you’re doing a period drama like Chandragupta Maurya, accidents are bound to happen. But this is second major accident that has happened to me. So now I have asked the production house (Sagar Arts and 72 Degrees Northe) to train the actors who come for the action scenes. The major reason why these accidents occur is because these actors are not well trained." In fact, Lalit who met Ashish for the first time yesterday was very apologetic because of the incident and it was Ashish who consoled him. First his nose and right cheek and now his left cheek, looks like Ashish is having a hard time saving his face. Tellychakkar.com hopes that you do not have to undergo more pain.
