MUMBAI: Sony Entertainment Television's India's Laughter Champion is a platform like no other when it comes to promoting comedy and comedians. The show offers the viewers a range of comedies not only from all across India but also a variety of comedies, in different genres. Presenting Ventriloquism will be Vignesh Pandey from Mumbai, Maharashtra who will be performing his stand-up act along with his dummy partner Anna. Impressing the judges Archana Puran Singh and Shekhar Suman by bringing alive Anna through the magic of his voice, Mumbaikar Vignesh Pandey will be winning the hearts of everyone with his charming performance. 'Comedy Ke Sarpanch' Pratap Faujdar and host Rochelle Rao would also be allured by the endearing act of the ventriloquist duo
Anna and Vignesh will be presenting a really cute stand-up act which would include jokes cracked on the judges, to explain to viewers what 'ventriloquism' is in their quirky manner. The performance would be receiving a standing ovation mid-act! Amidst the hollers of "once more" from the audience present, Archana Puran Singh would say, "Vignesh, you have made me fall in love with Anna. I have tears in my eyes and so much love for Anna and you! Through you, we got to witness the magic of Anna. In comedy, it's difficult to maintain one's timing but you presented both your and Anna's comic timing so mind-blowingly, that it is one of the best acts I have seen! Loveable, endearing, entertaining, engaging and so funny! Also more than anything, you know when you fall in love with an artist's performance? I have fallen in love with you and Anna you too!"
Shekhar Suman would then also compliment the comedian saying, "Vignesh you have a very endearing personality, to begin with. Your very presence, your demeanor, the way you talk, your content, and whatever you have worked on are delightful! You spoke of Ventriloquism, it's a dying art. When we were kids, we used to watch Ventriloquists in magic shows and other places where they would perform watching them used to amaze me and surprise me and I would ponder, "where is the voice coming from?" People would tell me that it comes from the stomach, and the artist closes the lips. A lot of people do not know about this art and it's becoming difficult to even pronounce the name 'Ventriloquism'. If you say the word three times, it becomes a tongue twister! Yet, what an amazing, spectacular, and swash-buckling performance. You were mesmerizing and I could not get my eyes off you. We were spellbound watching you perform. All I can say is that I am extremely proud that you came to our show. You were one of the finest performances!"
Vignesh Pandey also spoke about his experience in the show saying, “As Shekhar sir said, Ventriloquism is a dying art form and I am trying to revive it. It is platforms like ‘India’s Laughter Champion’ that encourage comedians to come forth and bring back comedy forms that are now getting lost, more so from the Indian region. I thank Sony TV for giving me this opportunity, of coming to India’s Laughter Champion with Anna and in essence bringing back Ventriloquism in popular culture.”
