ZBC Originals film to feature horror comedy ‘Bhengchi’

The next Zee Bangla Cinema Originals (ZBC) film is Krishanu Ganguly's debut ‘Bhengchi’, which as per him is a different type of film. Talking about the genre of the film, the director stated, “It’s a horror black comedy. Hollywood and Bollywood have experimented with this genre but I am not aware about Tollywood.” When asked about his take on audiences’ reaction to such flicks, he quipped, “I am clueless how the audience will take it. My heart says that they will respond positively, although I am feeling a little bit jittery.” Now coming to the plot, the film will narrate the tale of Anirban (Koushik Sen), who falls in and out of love, first with his wife Malabika (Aparajita Ghosh Das) and then a young Aleya (Amrita Chattopadhyay). A few ridiculous attempts of murdering the wife before succeeding, lets him live with his sweetheart Aleya but for how long! Will Malabika’s ghost let him find peace in Aleya’s arm? Well, to know more you have to watch the movie. Also starring Joydeep Mukherjee and Debranjan Nag, it will air on 27th December at 9 pm on Zee Bangla Cinema.
