MUMBAI: Zee TV’s new weekend show Superhits presents your favorite Zee TV stars in a never-before-seen avatar in a supernatural/ surreal adventure – taking your favorite characters into an altogether different world.
This weekend will feature Piyaa Albela lead actors Naren (played by Akshay Mhatre) and Pooja (played by Sheen Dass). The one-hour special will enchant the viewers with an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, wherein Naren will be seen as the Beast while Pooja will be a damsel in distress
As per the storyline, Naren gets into a massive fight with Pooja and as a result, she becomes unconscious and a series of events follow
Just then, Anand (played by Suraj Kakkar) appears as an angel and reprimands Naren for ill-treating Pooja. He curses Naren that he will never be able to win Pooja over again and make her fall in love with him
He leaves Naren with a rose in an inverted glass and tells him that he has time only till the rose sheds all its petals to win over Pooja
Furthermore, in a turn of event, Naren’s beastly and ferocious side takes precedence and he loses control over himself. He traps Pooja in a cage and misbehaves with her. However, as time goes by, Naren’s regains his calmer side and again starts feeling an affection for Pooja

Speaking about his look, Akshay said, “For the Superhits episode, I am donning a barbaric and wicked look. The storyline is similar to the popular fairy tale Beauty and the Beast albeit with a twist. I really enjoyed essaying the character of a beast and experienced an array of emotions while portraying a ruthless and negative character on-screen. Moreover, I enjoyed depicting the entire transition and bringing it to life from Naren’s point of view. I hope the audience loves and appreciates me in this never seen before avatar.”
