MUMBAI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has handed a one-year ban to South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch for breaching his contractual obligations with the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Bosch, who was drafted by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL 10 Draft on January 13, 2025, unilaterally withdrew from the tournament to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indians as an injury replacement for Lizaad Williams.

The PCB confirmed the ban on Thursday, stating that Bosch will not be eligible to participate in the 2026 edition of the PSL. The board highlighted the importance of honoring contracts and maintaining professionalism within the league.
Following the decision, Bosch issued a public apology, expressing regret for his actions and acknowledging the disappointment caused to Peshawar Zalmi fans and the wider cricket community. He accepted the ban and associated penalty, vowing to learn from the experience and return with renewed commitment.
Bosch, who made his international debut in late 2024, has played one Test and two ODIs for South Africa. He recently contributed significantly to MI Cape Town's SA20 2025 title win, solidifying his reputation in franchise cricket.
